StayingThe evening begins with cocktails in the American Bar and evolves into a hanging-out situation, with certain times for certain bars, and often more than one in a night or a return visit after dinner. The Bar Roma, with its comfortable sofas and armchairs, fills up early. Ziggi's is a cyber-café, the Red Lion is frequented by snowboarders, and Cadran Solaire is where the sophisticated Milanese go. Bar Posta and Bar delle Guide both have a good atmosphere, and there are also two discos. Restaurants are varied, plentiful and lively. Pierre Alexis rates as one of the best in town ("an extraordinary wine list to complement great food"). Courmayeur also has plenty of pizzerias including Mont Fréty ("wonderful for families").
